About CMI Photography

CMI Photography™ is a Billings, Montana based photography studio, offering wedding, portrait, commercial, editorial, event and motorsports photography.

The staff of CMI Photography™ has over 50 years combined experience in photography and graphic arts. This provides us with the ability to achieve the highest quality results with the least amount of expense to our clients. Our photographer's are members of the Professional Photographer's of America and Montana Professional Photographers Association which are professional organizations which promote continued education, good business practices and a high integrity for professional photographers.

CMI Photography™ uses 100% digital input and output. We use state of the art Adobe® software and color correction techniques. The color profiled images we produce for our clients are suitable for art prints, traditional publishing, product catalogues, and web use.

Meet the CMI Photography staff:

Mike is a Wyoming native, with over twenty years in business management and customer service. Mike started photography when he was young, using an old Kodak pocket 110. Mike later made the transition to using 35 mm film cameras and now uses a fully digital SLR imaging system. Mike has an extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop®. Mike uses his talent and skill with a camera and his gift of observation to capture some truly outstanding photographs. Mike has lived in Billings since 1990.

Windy is a Hawiian native, with an extensive background in customer service, promotions, sales, graphic design and literary arts. Windy is a published writer and has traveled extensively through out the United States. Windy's love of the outdoors and her want of a little bit slower pace to raise her family prompted her to visit Montana and in 2001 decided to call it home.

Phil Scala, CMI Photography, Billings Montana

Phil is a Montana native, with over thirty years of Motorsport photography experience. Phil has photographed the Long Beach F-1 Grand Prix racing series in Long Beach California and many other motor sports events too numerous to list. Phil has an extensive knowledge and experience in product photography, print layout, digital print making, color theory, and color management. Phil made the switch from film to 100% digital in 2003. Phil has 3 sons and 4 grandson.

We also offer portrait photography, event photography, digital touchup and manipulation, and of course a wide range of motor sport and automotive photography.
